Lately I’ve been feeling a bit burnt out. I’m not burnt out on the photography side, I LOVE taking photos and I don’t think that will ever leave me. I’m burnt out trying to plan out the future, the purpose, the meaning, the goal. As much as I am a go with the flow and trust in the universe type of human, thoughts like this still creep in. What’s my purpose with photography? What story I’m trying to tell?
And then it happened. It blinded me in the face... so bright I didn’t even see it at first.
Remember that expedition I said I have a goal to go on. I had no plan in mind. I just wrote it down. “I want to go on an expedition.” I had envisioned it to be in the Arctic - I don’t know why I just did.
But instead in will be across the coastline of Colombia.
A 14 day backpacking trek where John and I are hired on to photograph and film one of the last indigenous ancestors of the Tairona Civilization.
How. How in the world did this happen? Still as I write this I just can’t believe it.
Manifestation. Dreams. Continuing to visualize. Connections.
This trip was literally just placed in front of our laps by our good friend, Ian who we had met two years ago in Thailand. He basically stumbled upon this civilization, was brought in and now wants to share their story.
And we get to be a part of that.
I am trying to hard to not have any expectations from this expedition. I know it will be amazing. I know there will be internal growth. And I know it will blow my mind. But to what the outcome will be, to what that growth will be.. I’m letting the universe decide that one for me. Trust. I’m just trusting.

This is easily becoming one of our favorite places in Tucson. A quick 10 minute hike and we’re granted with cliff jumping and chilly water. How magical. Arizona you quickly became home 🖤

Soooooo one thing Arizona doesn’t have.. or we just haven’t found it yet... hot spring waterfalls! Now that’s what I’m talking about!!! Anyone ever been to Idaho.... aka hot spring paradise?! I highly suggest you go and if anyone has any AZ hot spring intel... feel free to share 😎😎
